Student-run cafe coming to southeast Iowa town, empowering students with special needs
OSKALOOSA, Iowa (KCCI) — A new cafe opening in southeast Iowa aims to empower students and adults with special needs. The Oskaloosa Community School District is getting ready to open its new Spirit Cafe on First Avenue East. The district says the cafe provides opportunities for students and adults with special needs to thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.

The Albia Lady Dees are running their best races at exactly the right time of the season. In doing so the team was able to finish 4th overall at the EBF State Qualifying meet, just two points out of third. Over the course of the evening the Lady Dees were able to break three school records and punch their tickets to state in six events.
