Summerlike & A Bit Humid 5-14-2024
For more Permian Basin weather…check here on https://www.yourbasin.com/weather/forecast/. Clouds will be on the increase across The Basin, but enough sunshine will allow temperatures to rise well into the 80’s, 90’s, and low triple digits for some. Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips expects west-southwesterly winds in The Trans Pecos to allow for dry air to persist, but a south-southeasterly persistent wind in far-east West Texas will allow for low-level moisture to seep on in. A few isolated thunderstorms will be possible south of I-20 and the north around The Caprock. With clearer skies overnight after the storms dissipate, the seasonably very warm and humid air-mass will continue for most areas tomorrow, but after more storms fire off, conditions will change.

Mild & A Bit Humid 5-10-2024
For more Permian Basin weather…check here on https://www.yourbasin.com/weather/forecast/. Along with some passing clouds, below-normal temperatures have returned for most east of Pecos. Meteorologist Ryan DePhillips highlights the temperature divide as a cold front comes through with high temperatures ranging from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. Southwesterly winds in The Trans Pecos will eventually be overtaken by northeasterly winds arriving from eastern West Texas as temperatures will drop for a vast majority later on. Rain will hold out for a vast majority as despite some surface moisture with the cold front, plenty of dry air will remain. Any showers that do form will be in northwestern areas of The Trans Pecos and southeastern areas of The Rio Grande. Despite some lingering clouds this weekend, a high pressure system will form across The Hill Country, allowing Basin temperatures to slowly rise with the return of southerly winds.
