K-9 officer in critical condition after surgery; Roxboro police asking public for support
ROXBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — A brave police K-9 named Kilo is fighting for his life, according to the Roxboro Police Department. Kilo suffered a medical emergency on Tuesday, the department said just after 4 p.m. in a post to its Facebook page. The agency said a surgery to help stabilize Kilo was performed by the Bahama Road Veterinarian Hospital before he was transported to the NC State Veterinarian Hospital where he is now in critical condition.
Remembrance, healing are themes of Soil Collection Ceremony
Descendants of 1921 Warren County lynching victims Alfred Williams and Plummer Bullock joined people of the local area and beyond on Saturday for a ceremony of soil collection as part of the Community Remembrance Project.
