Taylorville Estates Takes Pride in Their Community
Taylorville Estates Assisted Living remains dedicated to creating a space where individuals can find independence, an active lifestyle, and the comfort and freedom of living at home. Administrator, Toni Clark says only one room is currently available at Taylorville Estates and the cause of this can be found in the social living, daily activities, and relationships that are experienced in the assisted living arrangement.
Nokomis CUSD#22 Public meeting
On Wednesday May 29, 2024 at 8:30 AM, a meeting conducted by Nokomis Community Unit School District #22 will take place at Nokomis Unit Office, 511 Oberle Street, Nokomis, Illinois. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the district’s plans for providing special education services to students with disabilities who attend private schools and home schools within the district for the 2024-2025 school year. If you are a parent of a homeschooled student who has been or may be identified with a disability and you reside within the boundaries of Nokomis Community School District #22, you are urged to attend. Softball Recap: Casey-Westfield has no trouble against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Casey-Westfield had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats as they made off with a 16-2 victory. The result was nothing new for Casey-Westfield, who have now won 20 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Coralynn White is the Owner and Practitioner at ReSorce, located at 205 South Washington Street in Taylorville. Certified in Quantum and Energy Healing, White says, the old systems keep failing us, and now she hopes to bring a new type of care to the community.
Village Of Moweaqua Receives Funding For Replacing Lead Pipes
The Village of Moweaqua is receiving funding from Illinois to replace Lead Service Lines. Illinois EPA Director John J. Kim says Moweaqua is receiving $1,917,810 in funding to replace those lines as well as water meters that contain lead in the community. The funding is provided through the IEPA’s State Revolving Fund. This provides low-interest loan funding for drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. The funding is in the form of principal forgiveness, so the Village of Moweaqua will not have to repay any of the money.
Lake Shelbyville fishing for participants in children’s tournament
