Museum preserves items left outside of Lewiston shooting sites
LEWISTON, Maine (WABI) - Items placed outside of the shooting sites in Lewiston are being preserved by a local museum. After the mass shooting on October 25th that claimed the lives of 18 Mainers, large memorials began to grow outside of the Shemengees Bar and Grille and the bowling alley at Just in Time Recreation.
It’s ‘O-fish-al!’ Aquarium is opening this year
The Maine State Aquarium is excited to share that we are opening this year! We will open Wednesday, June 26 during the Boothbay Harbor Windjammer Days Festival, and then through Labor Day. Our hours are Wednesdays – Sundays, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Follow us on social media or the DMR website for more opening announcements.

Springtide to perform May 2 at Merry Barn
Gifted singer-songwriters Elsie Gawler and Ethan Tischler return to the Merry Barn on Thursday, May 2. Joined by Willy Clemetson, they are the trio Springtide. With Gawler playing cello, Tischler on guitar, and Clemetson on fiddle, the band combines a love of high-energy traditional Celtic and Scandinavian fiddle music, heartfelt original tunes and songs, and spacious creative improvisation.
Used Bookstore opening May 2
The Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library’s Used Bookstore on McKown Street will be reopening for the season on Thursday, May 2. Hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Days open in May - Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Come in and browse the new books!
