Tia Betty Blues cafe in Albuquerque gets new name and owner
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Popular southeast Albuquerque cafe Tia Betty Blues has a new name and owner. Former owner Daniel Boardman transferred the eatery over to Donna Padilla, who has been the manager for nearly four years. Boardman owned Tia Betty Blues for the past 12 years and also owns two other restaurants. “He just, yeah, wanted to cut back. I mean, I’ve been doing a great job here, apparently, and gave me the opportunity. I was happy to take it. I’ve been in the restaurant business since high school, and I love what I do,” said Padilla.
