The Amarillo Police Department said Thursday morning that two people have been arrested — one in Amarillo and one in Lubbock — in connection to a fatal shooting at an apartment complex earlier in the week. On Wednesday, investigators and officers arrested Kevin Sanders, 39, on a murder charge, according to an APD news release. A second suspect, Terrence Thomas, 38, was located in Lubbock and arrested on a charge for murder. ...

Gary Don graduated from Canyon High School and attended Texas Tech University. He was married to Debra Jo Turberville Byars and was a long-time resident of Canyon, Texas. Gary Don was an independent contractor in Public Utilities and proprietor of Landmark Utilities. He was also a partner in S&G Associates and B&P Construction. He was an avid hunter and golfer and was passionate about all animals. He will be lovingly remembered as a good man and beloved father.
