THOMASVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) — Thomasville police are trying to find out who is responsible for a fatal weekend shooting .

That shooting took the life of a Greensboro father and left others hurt. The family of that man identified him as 35-year-old Bobby Jarrel Brown.

“A very kind sweetheart,” said Mary Moore, Bobby Brown’s mother.

Moore said her family is deeply hurt by his death.

Thomasville police officers responded to Hunter Street after receiving multiple calls reporting a shooting on Saturday and found Brown.

“His body was not removed from the scene until approximately 2:40 on Sunday morning,” Moore said.

Thomasville police say victims with gunshot wounds showed up at a Thomasville hospital a short time later. Two victims were listed in critical condition.

One of the victims, identified by Brown’s family as his cousin, has been released from the hospital.

Brown’s family hopes there is surveillance video of the shooting and is asking neighbors who live nearby to check their cameras.

“I want to see the whole section of what went on and what happened,” said Cleo Rubin, Bobby Brown’s father.

His mother expressed concerns about gun violence in the area. She said Brown was in Thomasville visiting family.

“I just want justice for my son,” Moore said.

Brown’s family said he leaves behind four children: three daughters and a son. Thomasville police ask anyone with information about this shooting to call Thomasville Crime Stoppers.
