“It was really scary,” she said. “It woke me, my husband, and my son up, and my daughter was staying at her grandma’s. It was scary.”

Another local mother and resident, Amy Billings said she held her children back from messing with the bullet cases in their yard. Her front lawn was now a crime scene.

For Mundell, protecting her children was her first priority.

“I instantly came downstairs to make sure my doors were locked,” she said.

Mundell also noted that the shooting incident has really made her question whether or not she is comfortable raising her family in this area.

“I actually want to move now because there has been so many things happen in this neighborhood, so I really want to move now,” added Mundell.

Although she is still dealing with the trauma of the shooting, Mundell said she is also thinking about the victims.

“I just want to pray for their families,” she said. “They are in my prayers.”

As for the criminal case, police said a 17-year-old Terre Haute male was arrested on attempted murder charges. Due to his age they have declined to release more details about the incident.

As for the victims, they’re all in stable condition.
