What else we love about a new Italian restaurant with huge portions
Matteo’s of North Palm Beach arrives with the confidence of a restaurant that already knows its audience. No surprise because there are sibling locations in Boca Raton , two on Long Island plus another in Hallandale. It is polished, pretty, and populated by a well-heeled crowd that looks like it planned its evening around dinner, not the other way around. Here’s what to know before you book a table and why it works especially well for groups, celebrations or really anyone who believes dinner should never feel rushed. The vibe The dining room sets the tone. It is elegant without being precious, dressed in warm neutrals, soft lighting and carefully chosen details that signal upscale Italian without tipping into theme. Tables are generously spaced, conversations hum at an indoor-party volume and the room fills quickly with couples, families and celebratory groups dressed for a convivial night out, even if the occasion is simply going out to eat well. The food The menu follows suit. Matteo’s is rooted in classic Italian cooking, with a clear emphasis on abundance and sharing. Nearly every main course is offered in two sizes, a detail that sounds practical until the food arrives. Even the smaller

Fort Pierce changes story on Crabby's Dockside restaurant closure
Fort Pierce officials are walking back part of City Manager Richard Chess' explanation about why Crabby's Dockside restaurant abruptly closed earlier this month. Chess previously told a City Commission meeting that Fort Pierce had received no property tax bills from the St. Lucie County Tax Collectors Office for the city-owned property at the Fort Pierce City Marina for 2023 or 2024, and then received three years of bills in 2025. That amount, he said, was passed on to the Crabby's owners all at once. Crabby's agreement with the city calls for the city to pay the tax bills and for Crabby's to reimburse the amount. However, county documents, obtained by TCPalm, show the city did pay the 2023 and 2024 tax bills for that property on time and not all at once. When those documents were presented to the city and a spokesperson was asked for comment, she acknowledged that the initial narrative of three years of bills being received at once was wrong. "There was no late billing by the Tax Collector’s Office," spokesperson Kaitlyn Ballard said in an email. "Any previous suggestion that reimbursement issues were related to delayed billing was made in error, and the city regrets

Styx Brings ’80s Nostalgia to Pompano Beach Amphitheater
Styx Brings ’80s Nostalgia to Pompano Beach Amphitheater. On Sunday, February 22, Pompano Beach Amphitheater featured the return of classic rock band Styx. On a chilly Sunday night, the Baby Boomers showed up, bundled up and packed the small house of 3,000 concertgoers, proving that no cold snap was going to keep this generation away from their music. The Pompano Beach Amphitheater is familiar territory for Styx; they have played the place several times over the past few years, and that comfort was palpable from the first note. There’s a certain ease that comes when a legendary band returns to a stage they know by heart, turning a standard tour stop into a collective homecoming.
