The Tellico Village Singers (TVS) and the Tellico Voices (TV) are pleased to present their annual Fourth of July Patriotic Concerts.

These concerts will be performed at the Community Church at Tellico Village on Sunday, June 30 (3 p.m.) and Tuesday, July 2 (7 p.m.).

"The costs involved with preparations and performances keep going up," a press release stated. "As such, to recoup some of our cost, tickets for these performances will be a reasonable $10."

Ticket purchase and distribution will start on Tuesday, June 4, through Saturday, June 8 — or until all tickets are sold — from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can purchase your tickets at the drive-thru on the back side of the Community Church — at the Fellowship Hall entrance/portico.

“This year, we are very pleased to have the Loudon County Concert Band as our guest performer,” stated the TVS and TV director Dennis Loy.

Not only will the band accompany the choir, but it will perform an exciting piece by Aaron Copland and a Sousa March. "What’s a Fourth of July concert without a rousing Sousa March?" the release stated.

Loy says the concert will be a little over an hour and a half with no intermission.

He said the concert repertoire will be divided into two parts — Americana and Patriotic — both of which Loy's sure the audience will enjoy.

"We are proud to have Terry Weber (artistic director of the Word Players Group of Knoxville) present his wonderful theatrical contribution of our country," the release stated. "Last year, his powerful presentation of 'Ragged Old Flag' resulted in a standing ovation."

In July 2023, the choirs' performances benefitted the Smoky Mountain Service Dogs — "raising more than $15,000 from the audiences for this worthy cause," according to the release.

This year’s charity will be Habitat for Humanity's Critical Care Program in Loudon County — a program that benefits in-need individuals to renovate established homes … allowing them to stay in their home for many more years.

"During the concert, there will be a short video introduction of the organization on the big screens," the release stated. "We hope that our audiences will open their hearts and wallets to help support this wonderful local organization."

If this year’s ticket distribution is anything like last year, tickets will go fast. “We anticipate that both concerts will be completely full,” Loy said.
