Highway 40 closed following multiple car crash

Update 8:35 a.m.: Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Abigail Christan confirmed that two vehicles were involved in the crash. According to Christian, only minor injuries were reported. The roadway is now cleared.

TECUMSEH ( KSNT ) – A crash south of Tecumseh has prompted Highway 40 to be closed.

At 6:30 a.m., crews responded to a multiple-vehicle crash on Highway 40 and SE Tecumseh Road, according to the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office.

Highway 40 is currently closed while first responders work the scene. Both eastbound and westbound traffic is currently closed, according to Kandrive.org.
