Vernon Ray Klinefelter MD December 14, 1951 ------ April 28, 2024. Dr V Ray Klinefelter was born in Taylorville, IL, the son of James Harold and Phyllis Louise (Melvin) Klinefelter. He married Geraldine (Gerry) A Vancil in January 1971. He is survived by his wife, Gerry and his daughter Rachelle L Roth of Fort Worth TX, his son Phillip G Klinefelter of Rochester, IL; four beautiful granddaughters: Elliana Roth, Sophia Roth, Zoey Klinefelter, and Mila Klinefelter. He is also survived by his mother Phyllis L Harris and three surviving siblings: James L Klinefelter of Taylorville, IL, Mark A Klinefelter of Taylorville, IL, and JoAnn Christofferson of South Daytona, FL. He was preceded in death by his father James H Klinefelter, brother Donald C Klinefelter and son Paul A Klinefelter. A visitation will be held at McClure Funeral Home on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Robert ("Rob" / "Robby") Thomas Williamson, 43, of Taylorville passed away with his closest family surrounding him at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, on April 24, 2024. Rob was born August 17, 1980, in Springfield, IL. He grew up in Edinburg, IL and graduated from Edinburg High School in 1998. He began working with the governor's office for the State of Illinois in 2000 and later transferred to the Illinois Commere Commission, where he has worked as an Information Services Specialist II for the last 22 years.

Patricia Anne Webb, age 72, of Taylorville, Illinois passed away on April 25, 2024 at her home. Patricia was born on March 17, 1952, the daughter of Ladora Wakefield and Stanley Lipinski. As a youngster, she was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA), and her parents were told it was unlikely Patricia would live to age 30. She lived 42 years past that prediction. Patricia experienced 17 surgeries in her lifetime, and in 1963, she was the poster child for the March of Dimes.

2 people killed in RV struck by train
TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WAND) — Two people were killed when an RV was struck by a train in the eastern edge of Christian County on Thursday. The crash occurred a little after noon on E 2300 North Rd. near Illinois Route 48. The initial investigation shows that the RV was traveling east on E 2300 North Rd. while the train was northbound. The RV crossed the tracks and was struck.
