Wildcats fall to South Brunswick in second round following rain delay
BOILING SPRING LAKES — After two days and 10 innings of softball, the Richlands Wildcats came up short against the South Brunswick Cougars as they were defeated 2-1 in the second round of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 2A State Playoffs. Starting on the mound for the Cougars was Kina Davis who, in the opening round for South Brunswick on May 7, pitched a no-hitter against Lee County earning 17 strikeouts in 22 at-bats.
