Gladbrook Legion Auxiliary members distribute poppies
GLADBROOK – Members of the Gladbrook Legion Auxiliary distributed poppies on Gladbrook Main Street and at Casey’s on Friday, May 10. The Auxiliary would like to thank all the businesses for the courtesies extended to the members. All proceeds from poppy sales go to our veterans and their families. Seniors helping with the poppy distribution include Chris Hickman, Rose Russell, Lori Sanderson, Candice Bartel, Marilyn Carstensen, Joyce Swangel, and Ann Vibbard.

GLADBROOK – For over 100 years, the American Legion Auxiliary has sponsored Poppy Days to remind America that millions have sacrificed their lives and health to keep our nation strong and free. Members of the Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary distributed poppies in Gladbrook on Wednesday, May 8. This is their favorite project of the year as all the proceeds go to help veterans and their families. The Juniors gave each resident of Westbrook Acres and the Independent Living a poppy.
