18th annual Lake Tahoe Music on the Beach Summer Concert Series
RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A staple to the North Lake Tahoe community is back very soon! The 18th annual Music on the Beach free concert series will commence this June. On Friday, June 14, the nonprofit North Tahoe Business Association (NTBA) will kick off the series from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area and will continue every Friday evening through August 30, excluding August 9.

TRUCKEE, Calif. – The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe will participated in the first-ever California Adopt-a-Pet Day, a groundbreaking statewide initiative dedicated to finding forever homes for pets. In her years as an artist in South Lake Tahoe, Shelley Zentner has learned to find beauty amid pain and struggle. After the Caldor Fire of 2021 blazed across Echo Summit and came within a breath of her own home, Zentner created an acclaimed series of charcoal drawings and paintings that captured both sadness and eerie beauty. In “Two Suns,” the sun and its reflection on the Truckee River glow through charred trees and smoky air.
