N.J. tennis stars earn U.S. Open wildcards
Two Garden State tennis stars will be competing in the U.S. Open later this summer thanks to their performances at last week’s NCAA championships. Alexa Noel, a 21-year-old Summit native who won the NCAA Division I women’s singles championship at Miami, earned a wildcard into the U.S. Open main draw, while Montville native Michael Zheng of Columbia earned a wildcard into the U.S. Open qualifying draw.
