North Platte residents have opportunity to pitch ideas for new skate park
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - North Platte residents will soon have the chance to draw up their dream skate park. The North Platte Parks and Recreation Department is hosting an open house next Wednesday at City Hall for residents to submit their ideas on how they want the new skate park designed. It was authorized via a ballot measure as part of the recreation center renovation and expansion project.

Each winner will have a select amount of time to go around Gary's Super Food and try to grab as many groceries during their time slot. Jedrzejczyk will have three minutes; Morrison will have two minutes and lastly Smith will have one minute to navigate the store.

North Platte Public Library to announce final book selection Saturday
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The North Platte Public Library is holding its “One Book 4 North Platte” reception on Saturday at 1 p.m. The annual community reading program will reveal its final selection for this year’s book, along with the list of other potential books, during the reception. The library will also be providing an educational session featuring Jim Griffin from the North Platte Historical Society. Griffin will be speaking about the history of North Platte at the time the book was set.
