Onslow authorities arrest one; searching for another
SWANSBORO, Onslow County — One man has been arrested in relation to a stolen vehicle in Onslow County while another is still being sought. According to a press release from the Onslow County Sheriff's Office, on May 24, Deputies responded to Belgrade Swansboro Road for a report that a 1968 Chevrolet C10 pickup truck had been stolen. During the investigation, Eric Lewis Daw Jr. was identified as a suspect. The stolen truck was later recovered. Daw was also identified as the suspect in a separate case, in which Daw and Travis Napier stole hunting supplies from a tree stand located in a wooded area off of Rocky Run Road.

Onslow County Welcomes New Assistant County Manager and DSS Director
Kari Sanders and Susan Thigpen have been appointed as Assistant County Manager and Department of Social Services Director respectively in Onslow County. Authorities awaiting autopsy after inmate found dead in Onslow County jail

Sheriff Chris Thomas says Chentelle Legendre was booked into the jail around 3:00 a.m. on May 17th, and at around 7:30 a.m. deputies were summoned for a cardiac arrest. Despite efforts, Legendre passed away.
