Quaker Windows to expand Eldon facility, investing $30M and adding 220 jobs
Quaker Windows and Doors, a premier manufacturer of top-quality windows and doors, announced today that it will significantly expand its Eldon manufacturing facility, investing more than $30 million and creating 220 new jobs. The company’s expansion will add a vertical paint line and increased capabilities for insulating glass production while helping meet demand for its high-quality commercial, residential, and luxury windows and doors.

Remembering the EF3 tornado that hit Jefferson City and Eldon 5 years later
It has now been five years since the 2019 EF three tornado did damage to both Miller and Cole County, affecting many cities and its path, including Eldon and Jefferson City. The storm touched down just southwest of Eldon, traveled northeast through Miller County into Cole, and strengthened into an EF2 tornado with winds up to 135 mph. Southwest of the intersection of Heritage Highway and Highway 54, the tornado strengthened into an EF3 with a max width of 1500 yards.
