The Wildcat runningback had quite a senior season, rushing for 1486 yards, on a very efficient seven yards per carry. HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The Marshall Thundering Herd baseball team used a four run 7th inning to help beat the Ohio Bobcats 7-4 Wednesday night at Jack Cook Field. Jack Firestone hit a home run for the Herd and Herd pitching held Ohio to just five hits in the game. Marshall improves to 16-32 overall this year while Ohio falls to 14-29. Both teams return to conference play now as Marshall goes to James Madison while the Bobcats travel to Miami of Ohio.

ONA — Mikey Johnson was akin to a great hitter in baseball, fouling away before coming up big. Johnson, a senior from Huntington High, fouled on four of his six long jump attempts, but landed a first place leap of 21 feet, 7.25 inches. Johnson edged Cabell Midland’s Caden Bowen, a Marshall University signee, by half an inch. Huntington’s Carmelo Sheffield was third at 21-4.5.
