CYSP: A Year in Review
Each year at Noble Academy-Cleveland, we recruit for CYSP among the 5th through 8th grade scholars. Concept’s Young Scholars Program (CYSP) is designed to build responsibility, character and leadership among our student body. Those who are selected are paired with a teacher or Noble staff member who will serve as their mentor, typically in groups of 4-6 scholars. We had 75 scholars enrolled at the beginning of this school year and they were responsible for meeting certain goals by the end of the school year. Their goals included attending Saturday School for Test Prep and Character Ed., meeting physical fitness and extracurricular activities requirements, and they must complete a few hours of Community Service. CYSP offers field trips, overnights and out of town trips to help scholars meet some of their requirements. Our outings included a trip to an Amish Farm, Round One Entertainment Center, 8th grade Washington DC trip, and our annual camp weekend.
