'Happened out of nowhere': WNY Red Lobster employees left in dark after closures
All four Red Lobster locations in Western New York all had the same sign taped to their doors on Monday reading "this location is closed" — in what appears to be a nationwide occurrence.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — With rumors of the restaurant on the brink of bankruptcy, Red Lobster posted on their website that four locations in Western New York are temporarily closed. The seafood chain is reportedly looking to sell its restaurants in an effort to avoid filing bankruptcy, according to CNBC.
'Man v. Food v. Media'
To celebrate the premiere of the Western New York episode of "Man v. Food" on Wednesday, the Riverstone Grill on Grand Island held a "Man v. Media" food competition for charity. Prior to the show's airing, the media team of Colin Dabkowski (Buffalo News), Bull -- aka Rich Gaenzler (103.3 the Edge) -- Michael Wooten (WGRZ/Channel 2) and Joshua Maloni (Niagara Frontier Publications/The Sentinel) took on locals Jamie Mayor Raymond, Shawn Garbutt, Steve Voutour and Marilyn Gratto.
'Came out of the blue': Amherst Town Board reverses decision to borrow money for MusicalFare Theatre
AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — On Monday, the Amherst Town Board voted to rescind a bond resolution that would have bonded $11 million for MusicalFare Theatre. In February, the Town of Amherst announced the town board approved a lease agreement with MusicalFare Theatre Company to bring a public theatre to Amherst Central Park, which is now the former Westwood Country Club.
EQUINOX String Quartet to perform in Youngstown
At 7 p.m. Saturday, May 18, The EQUINOX String Quartet will perform its debut performance at the Youngstown Presbyterian Church as part of the site’s concert series. Musicians include David Spring, violin; Jessica Anthony, violin; Elizabeth Seward, viola; and Samantha Godus, cello.
