Italian dining spot Ristorante Bergamo to move in downtown Greenville
A mainstay in downtown Greenville dining, Ristorante Bergamo , is relocating from its longtime home at 100 North Main Street to a new downtown address. The Northern Italian restaurant will move to the West End, Greenville commercial real estate firm Reedy River Retail announced in a recent LinkedIn post. Ristorante Bergamo’s new location will be on South Main Street, across from Fluor Field in the old Crazy Mason building. “Excited to announce the lease of 942 S Main Street in Downtown Greenville to Ristorante Bergamo — a longtime Greenville favorite making an exciting relocation to a new home on South Main,” the Reedy River Retail post said. The relocation will give the restaurant more space to expand the kitchen and dining space, where they estimate they will be able to seat around 75 patrons, according Ristorante Bergamo owner Kathy Ferro. "The current space did not have a walk-in box so we were somewhat limited in what we could buy and when, so this will allow more flexibility for purchases," said Gian Pietro Ferro, the restaurant's chef. The restaurant hopes to be relocated by late fall, but there could be delays in construction, according to Dustin Tenny with Reedy River Retail.
