Professional sculptor headed back to Starkville
One sculptor is making his way back to Starkville for a week-long visit. The Del Rendon Foundation and Mississippi Arts Commission’s newest artist in residence at the MacGown Art Retreat and Studio (MARS) is Lawson King. King will be in town May 11 - 17. King has previously done a sculpture for the Travis Outlaw Center, located at 405 Lynn Lane, called “Empty Handed.”

VandyBoys hosted three more home series on the Hawk against Missouri Tigers, Florida Gators and Mississippi State Bulldogs. The Commodores swept the Tigers, dropped one against the Gators and were upset by the unranked Bulldogs. They currently have an 11-11 record in conference play and are 32-14 overall. The Commodores secured home wins in all four non-series home matchups against Valparaiso, Middle Tennessee, UT Martin and Tennessee Tech.
