    One killed in Mountrail County dirt bike crash

    BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — A Stanley man was killed on the evening of Sunday, April 14, after being thrown from his vehicle.

    According to a press release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at approximately 7:15 p.m. CST, a KTM AG Dirt Bike was traveling in a field northwest of Adeline Drive and Knife River Drive in Stanley when the vehicle struck a rock, causing its driver to lose control and be thrown from the bike.

    The driver of the vehicle — a 37-year-old man from Stanley — was found later, and live saving measures were performed on scene. He was later transported to the Mountrail County Medical Center, where he was eventually pronounced deceased.

    The crash currently remains under investigation.
