Sheriff's Office has plans for Centerville substation
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office announced plans last week for a new substation in Centerville. The substation will be on land acquired recently on the U.S. 90 frontage road near Ronnie’s Airboat, less than a mile from the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center. It will consolidate the office’s Criminal Division, currently split between two locations, under one roof.

School bus in St. Mary Parish sideswiped by 18-wheeler in hit and run
ST. MARY PARISH, La. (KADN) — The hunt is on for the 18-wheeler driver who sideswiped a school bus in St. Mary Parish and kept going. Officials with the V. B. Glencoe Charter School in Franklin said one of its buses was hit on LA 83 and Cypremort Road on Tuesday, April 16, around 3:30 p.m.
