Terrible Tragedy As Louisiana Woman Is Killed in a Crash
Louisiana State Police Troop I was called out to the scene of a fatal crash on US Highway 90 Business Road near Beauregard Road in St. Mary Parish Wednesday afternoon. As officials began to investigate they believe at this time that 33-year-old Kristin Michele Myers was driving down the roadway behind an F250 truck. A spokesman for Louisiana State Police Troop I Trooper Thomas Gossen says they believe Myers' vehicle hit the back of the truck as that truck was slowing down to make a left turn.

Patterson man sentenced to life as serial sex offender
A Patterson man has sentenced to two life prison terms as a serial sexual offender, District Attorney Bo Duhe announced Tuesday. Arthur Donald Lacoste Jr., 56, Patterson, was convicted May 4 by a St. Mary Parish jury on charges of sexual battery and indecent behavior with a juvenile. The victim was a youth whom Lacoste had befriended and abused over several years ending in 2020, when the youth made a report to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office.
