Softball Recap: Galena's loss ends three-game winning streak at home
Galena was the 10-8 winner over Lena-Winslow when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Easton Valley Cornhole Tournament Champs
The 6th annual Easton Valley High School cornhole tournament is in the books! This year’s champions are Aiden Eickert, Justin Weistfenning, and Jeremy Weistfenning! This group made their way back into the championship by coming up through the loser’s bracket. They had to upset the team of Nolan Sandholdt, Callan Messerich and Carter Ross to claim the championship title!
Preston Growth & Development Golf Outing Was a Success!
The Preston Growth and Development Committee hosted its Annual Golf Fundraiser at the Preston Valley Golf Course on Saturday May 4th. Nineteen teams participated in the fundraising event and enjoyed a round of golf, beverages, lunch, 50/50 drawings and special challenges. The proceeds for the event will be used for the final items for this summer’s completion of Peppermint Park. The committee thanks all that assisted in the event and especially the hole sponsors, grillers, bakers and of course, the Fiers, owner/operators of the golf course and the teams of golfers.

Softball Recap: East Dubuque finds playoff glory versus River Ridge/Scales Mound
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but East Dubuque had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over the River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats. The result was nothing new for East Dubuque, who have now won ten matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
