Former Employee of Credit Union Sentenced to Federal Prison
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A former employee of a credit union in Carmel has been sentenced to federal prison after pleading guilty to financial institution fraud. Jose Prado-Valero, 35, served as a Automated Clearing House coordinator at a credit union beginning in 2019. He has been sentenced to 33 months in federal prison, followed by two years of supervised release. He must also pay $2,132,517 in restitution.

Showers Tuesday produced healthy rainfall for some with more rain to fall overnight. It was a healthy spring rainfall Tuesday. The .60″ in Indianapolis (through 5pm) is nearly equal to the entire total for the month entering the day. Locally higher totals were found southwest in Owen and Greene counties.

More heat and more sun today. A few showers and storms may pop later this afternoon, especially west of Indianapolis and especially after 4pm. Scattered stuff around tonight and Friday. The most widespread rain Friday will be in the afternoon and evening. Up to a half inch of rain might fall at any given spot. Heavy rain may fall in southern Indiana. Nothing severe is expected. A lingering upper wave will be drifting across the lower Ohio and Tennessee Valleys Saturday…with enough moisture and instability available across the region to produce a shower or storm around, especially east and south of Indy. Strong to severe storms may threaten next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Wednesday starts wet but ends with late day sunshine
It’s a very soggy start to our Wednesday with ongoing scattered rainfall in central Indiana. The rain has not been spread evenly. Some have received much more than others. Indianapolis picked up more than 1″ of rainfall on Tuesday with totals already over 1/2″ for Wednesday. Shelbyville picked up more than 3″ of rainfall just this morning from a slow moving thunderstorm. Meanwhile, as of 7 AM Wednesday morning, other areas, like Lafayette, have only received a combined total near 1/4″ of rain from both days.
