Three-car crash on Route 10 in Southampton

SOUTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) — A portion of Route 10 in Southampton was closed Tuesday afternoon due to a three-car accident.

According to Southampton Fire, at approximately 2:43 p.m., crews were called to a three-car motor vehicle accident on College Hwy in front of Walgreens.

Upon arrival, responders found three vehicles involved in the collision. One SUV sustained moderate front-end damage, while a sedan had moderate damage to its passenger side. Another sedan involved had minor front-end damage. Fortunately, all occupants had already exited their vehicles before emergency crews arrived.

According to the Southampton Fire Department, two occupants were assessed at the scene and declined further medical attention. However, one occupant was brought to the hospital but is expected to be okay.

Engine 3 remained at the scene to conduct fluid cleanup and control the area. All units were cleared from the scene by 3:38 p.m.

The Southampton Police Department of Massachusetts provided assistance during the incident. The cause of the accident is under investigation, and we will continue to provide updates as soon as new information becomes available.
