Allen City Council Approves $20M Expansion for Public Library, Infrastructure Upgrades on the Horizon
Allen's residents are set to see their local public library get a major facelift after the City Council gave the green light for its expansion. The go-ahead came in the form of a hearty $19.994 million budget approval during the last council session on May 28, with a lion's share of $16.330 million earmarked for the construction costs alone. This is a follow-through on the promise made to voters who approved bond funds way back in 2016, according to the City of Allen.
