While there can be only one Auburn Journal Athlete of the Year, several players deserve recognition for their achievements in the 2023-24 school year. Jade Biittner, Colfax (Cross Country, Flag Football, Basketball, Track and Field, Tennis): Biittner grew accustomed to winning league championships during her time at Colfax. She placed second in the Division IV cross country championship and was the lone senior on the Falcons basketball team. Biittner iced the CIF NorCal Regional Championship game, sinking two free throws to send Colfax to the state final. She won the PVL championship in the 400-meter and 300-meter hurdle events and placed second in the 1,600. She also was a member of the league-champion 4x800 relay team.
