Cleveland, OH. An Ohio man who killed his sister, her husband, and unborn niece was sentenced today in the Courtroom of Cuyahoga County Judge Rick Bell. Jason David Iverson was found guilty of three counts of aggravated murder and one count of felonious assault. As family members on both sides of the aisle awaited sentencing, the question was "why." What happened on September 4, 2023, caused so much turmoil that it cost the lives of three innocent people.

The Denver City Council learned more Wednesday about the workforce development component of the Denver Asylum Seekers Program. The city has transitioned the way it helps migrants, closing shelters and instead placing 800 people in the asylum program. That includes people who had been staying in non-congregate hotel shelters, all but one of which have closed. New migrant arrivals will not be eligible for the six-month work program until some graduate, according to a presentation by city staff. The city intends to keep 500 people in the work program at a time, according to Tony Anderson, workforce development manager for the city.
