Shreveport Councilman Gary Brooks withdraws plan to push back bar hours
A Shreveport councilman has backtracked on his move to force bars to stop serving alcohol two hours earlier. Councilman Gary Brooks, a bar owner, earlier this week introduced legislation which would have moved back the allowable hours for businesses to sell alcohol for on-premises consumption. After backlash from other bar owners, Brooks has dropped the idea.
A historic mid century Shreveport hotel could be yours
