South Puget Sound Community College Foundation Annual Clipper Scramble Golf Tournament Supports Student Success at Exciting New Location
One of SPSCC Foundation’s most exciting signature fundraising events is the annual Clipper Scramble golf tournament. This event helps advance student success and support aspiring student athletes. Each year, sponsors and community donors come together on the golf course to have fun while supporting the Foundation’s commitment to creating equal opportunity for students to continue their education. Through their combined fundraising efforts this long-standing event has helped the Foundation raise over $1 million for emergency grants and scholarships for local students attending South Puget Sound Community College. “The Clipper Scramble has helped us raise significant funding every year to help support student success,” shares Director of Development Christine Hoffmann. “As the foundation that supports SPSCC, we fundraise to support student success and meet emerging needs for the college.”

Centralia blows by Shelton without dropping set
The Tigers dominated an Evergreen Conference match on Monday afternoon, sweeping the Highclimbers in singles and doubles to win 6-0 at home. Of the three singles matches and three doubles contests, Centralia dropped a total of 16 games. Maya Lackie (No. 1 singles) and its Nos. 2 and 3 doubles tandems didn’t drop a game in the second set to complete the sweep.
