Autumn will start on a fantastic note, but more rain is on the way
MONDAY EVENING: Our mostly cloudy start transitioned into a great second half of the day. Our evening will be just as beautiful. Tonight will be interesting when it comes to temperatures. The cool airmass we have in place, combined with a clear sky and light winds will allow temperatures to drop quickly after sunset. Weather models are showing clouds spreading across parts of the region during the overnight hours for the southern and central portion of the region. If this happens, temperatures will stay a little warmer, although still chilly. Northern parts of the region look to remain cloud free allowing temperatures to drop as cool as the mid to upper 30. Because of this, the National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for a few counties in our region including, Hubbard, Beltrami, Clearwater, and Lake of the Woods from midnight through 8am. Temperatures may drop as low as the mid 30s where frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

SUNDAY: Much of the region is waking up to cloud cover this morning with a light easterly breeze. As we move through the day we’ll see more clouds than sun, although we’ll see enough blue sky between the clouds to make it a very pretty afternoon.
