SHELBURN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — On Saturday multiple police departments across the Wabash Valley are taking part in Drug Take Back Day.

One of these departments is the Shelburn Police Department who has decided to make this day a one-stop-shop for many of the community’s needs.

This Drug Take Back Day is going to allow people to get rid of prescription medicine that they no longer need or use.

There is also going to be free food and multiple types of community resources to help residents in the area.

Godard officially named Indiana State’s 13th president

Shelburn Police Marshall Matthew Price said that it’s great to see the community work together.

“I love seeing everyone come together and I like seeing people working collaboratively for the same objective and same goal which is to better Shelburn,” he said.

Some other communities taking part in this are Terre Haute and Vincennes. To locate a collection site in your area, click the link here.
