Scots softball falls to Du Bois 6-4 in USCAA Small College World Series
DU BOIS, Penn. — The 2024 season came to an abrupt end for the Lyon College Scots softball team on Tuesday afternoon at Heindl Field in Du Bois, Penn. The Scots (19-19) lost their second game of the double-elimination USCAA Small College Softball World Series on Tuesday to Penn State Du Bois 6-4 in eight innings. Lyon lost on Monday night 1-0 to Penn State Schuylkill.
CM Softball beats Philipsburg-Osceola 13 – 9
Home runs and hits, lots of hits, were in order as the Lady Cats broke out the bats for a slug fest at Philipsburg on Monday afternoon. The Lady Mounties got things started with a two out home run in the first inning followed by another two out home run in the second inning. P.O. tacked on a run on two singles in the third inning to open the game with five runs after three innings.
