Firefighters battle Shamokin winery blaze

SHAMOKIN, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Firefighters from multiple areas responded to a fire in a Shamokin winery on Sunday.

Authorities tell 28/22 News just before 5:00 p.m., firefighters from Shamokin and other areas were called after a fire broke out in the 200 block of Sunbury Street in Northumberland County.

Crews were able to put out the flames at 5:36 p.m. and were still on the scene as of 7:00 p.m., according to officials.

No injuries were reported in this incident and authorities say a fire marshal was called to the scene.

On Facebook, the Firehouse Winery said they will be closed for the time being due to the fire.
