Coconino County Unveils Multilingual "I Voted" Stickers Designed by NAU Students for 2024 Elections
Coconino County tapped into the talent of local students to bring a fresh look to the democratic process. At a meeting on Tuesday, officials showcased the winning designs for new "I Voted" and "Future Voter" stickers, set for the 2024 elections. Eslir Musta, the county's Elections Director, praised the significant impact of the EAC Help America Vote College Program grant in making the contest a reality, "This initiative not only deepened our partnership with Northern Arizona University but also motivated NAU students to join us at the polls, spreading these stickers far and wide," Coconino County officials announced.
Sedona has lost one of its great men: Jim Eaton
Sedona lost one of its founders and one of its most active proponents, James “Jim” Eaton, who died Jan. 25 at age 91. Eaton moved to the Sedona area in 1986 before the city existed. He joined the movement to create the city and served as campaign manager of the 1987 drive to incorporate Sedona as a city.
