Blog: Summer isn’t done with us yet
Happy Wednesday! The area of high pressure that’s brought us gorgeous weather the past couple days is here for one more day. Then, high heat and humidity makes a return. We will switch to a southerly wind flow today, so that will begin to slowly usher in some warmth and humidity from down south up to Hampton Roads. Humidity will stay low, but temperatures will be a little warmer as highs reach the mid-upper 80s. Lots of sunshine remains today as well.

Happy Sunday! A cold front continues to sink south as high pressure from the north starts to move in. This will bring us drier, cooler weather with lower humidity for a bit. In between these two system, light isolated to scattered rain showers have developed this morning. They will mainly clear out by this afternoon, but a few stray showers are still possible through early Monday morning. Otherwise, we’ll have a mix of sun and clouds. Humidity will gradually drop as the day goes on and high temperatures will only reach into the low 80s.

Weather delays Cousinz Festival opening at Norfolk Scope
NORFOLK, Va. — The Cousinz Festival got off to a delayed start Saturday after severe weather prompted organizers to push back the opening of doors at Norfolk Scope Arena. Less than an hour before gates were scheduled to open, festival organizers said they received a severe weather alert from the City of Norfolk’s Emergency Management Services.
