Carle Health psychiatrists discuss mental health in Bloomington-Normal
Carle Health hosted a community conversation on Mental Health Monday at Illinois Wesleyan University for Mental Health Awareness Month, which kicked off May 1. Around 40 community members attended to hear from three Carle psychiatrists who treat patients in Bloomington-Normal: Rachel Immen, Burgundy Johnson and Alyssa Wood. The trio shared their perspectives on mental health in the area and what people can do to support the community.

Center for Human Services to add to low-income housing options in Bloomington
After receiving more than $9 million in state funding, the McLean County Center for Human Services plans to develop a new apartment building for low-income renters. The funding is part of $123 million in state and federal dollars recently allotted by the Illinois Housing Development Authority [IHDA] to agencies that will oversee 14 developments of what's called permanent affordable housing.

A 20-year-old man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a crash Monday on Interstate 74 in Woodford County.
