Man arrested after Halifax County armed robbery, sheriff says
ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. (WNCN) — A suspect was arrested hours after an armed robbery happened on Friday, according to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office. On Friday, the sheriff’s office said they were notified of an armed robbery that happened at a convenience store in Roanoke Rapids. Deputies arrived at the store, checked on the victims and secured the scene.

ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. (WNCN) — A man was arrested this week in Roanoke Rapids after he threatened to have his pit bull attack police, officers said. The incident was reported Wednesday around 8:30 a.m. in the Emry Park area, according to a news release from the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.
Emporia man arrested after three-car crash in Richmond
Richmond police have arrested a driver involved in a three-car crash that killed a Pennsylvania woman late Sunday night. At around 11:37 p.m., officers were called to the 3600 block of Chamberlayne Avenue in Richmond for a report of a three-vehicle collision. Upon arrival, officers found a damaged car in the right lane with three occupants.
Dad cited after Roanoke Rapids car crash injures baby, police say
ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. (WNCN) — A Roanoke Rapids father was cited on Friday after a single car crash injured his baby, according to police. On Friday around 5:30 a.m., Officer B. Holcomb with the Roanoke Rapids Police Department responded to a report of a single car crash on Old Farm Road near Down Brook Drive.
