Two alleged gang members charged in Scranton drug bust

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Two alleged gang members were arrested after police say they seized various drugs from a Scranton home.

According to the Scranton Police Department, on April 12 around 6:30 a.m., officers issued an arrest warrant for Shaqare Blackwell, 23, of Scranton at a home in the 300 block of Neptune Place.

Inside the home police said they discovered a second man living inside the apartment, Milton Dancy, 25, of Scranton, who told officers Blackwell was staying with him.

A search warrant was executed inside the apartment and investigators say they seized the following;

• Three bags contunaing 82 grmas of marijuana
• Vape box containing 11 9mm rounds of ammunition
• Plastic bag containing 118 grams of marijuana

Dancy and Blackwell were arrested and are facing various drug and weapons charges. Officers noted Blackwell and Dancy are suspected members of two different street gangs.
