HAMBURG, Pa. - The Hamburg softball team is unbeaten in the month of April and riding a 10-game win streak heading into a matchup with Conrad Weiser. The Hawks would bat around in the first inning to jump out to an 8-0 lead. Junior Amelia Gassert would score the first run of the game and then drive in a run later in the inning as Hamburg remains unbeaten against Berks opponents.
Berks Catholic baseball extends win streak to six with shutout over Hamburg
READING, Pa. - Berks Catholic baseball posted their sixth straight win with an 10-0 victory over Hamburg on Saturday at Owls Field. Trey Stricker struck out eight for the Saints who improved to 11-2 on the season. Dillon Walls had a pair of hits including an RBI triple for Berks Catholic.
Watts' outing not enough as Auburn falls at LSU
Despite getting one of its best starts from a pitcher in league play this season, Auburn couldn't end its losing streak in SEC play as LSU got solo home runs from Tommy White and Hayden Travinski to go along with a strong performance from starter Gage Jump in a 5-0 victory to take the opening game of the series. With the loss Auburn falls to 20-21 on the year and 2-17 in SEC play. LSU improves to 27-16, 6-13 in league action.
