    SAYREVILLE, NJ - Both Sayreville War Memorial softball and baseball teams were eliminated from the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament on Saturday, May 11, both losing to Old Bridge.

    Sayreville fell just short of a quarterfinal win over Old Bridge on Saturday, losing by a final score of 2-1.

    Sophomore Josephine Vanore pitched six innings for the Bombers, earning six strikeouts while allowing just two hits and one walk. Sayreville's offense featured one hit from each of Rose Joseph, Mya Infante, Sara Williamson, and Gianna Falto.

    Baseball

    Sayreville lost to Old Bridge 10-0 in the GMC Semifinals. Four different players earned hits for Sayreville, including Jake Romanello, Moe Hedderman, Michael Robinson, and Justin Marrero.

    The Bombers will play their next game on Monday, May 13, at St. Thomas Aquinas.
