Rathbun, 26, of Verona, is also accused of preventing the homeowner from calling 911 by slapping the phone from her hand, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Herkimer County woman sentenced to prison for murder
MOHAWK — A Herkimer County woman has been sentenced to 18 years to life in state prison for stabbing another woman to death. Taylor E. Goodhines, 22, of Mohawk, was sentenced Monday by Judge John H. Crandall on Tuesday, May 21, to 18 years to life in state prison on a charge of second-degree murder, court officials said. Goodhines pleaded guilty in March.
Utica police probe suspicious death of woman found in car
UTICA — Utica police are investigating the death of an adult womaan after she was found injured and unresponsive in her vehicle on May 15, according to authorities. Utica Police Department spokesperson Lt. Michael Curley said the 59-year-woman was reported to be unresponsive sitting in her vehicle, parked at a business at Huntington and Court streets on May 15. Responding officers found the woman with “head and bodily injuries,” Curley said, and she was taken to a local hospital for treatment. She then died from her injuries on Monday, police stated.
