Harlan businesses benefit from downtown Wi-Fi

Wayland water woes continue
WAYLAND, Ky. (WYMT) - The Wayland community is seeing the first trickles of water after nearly one week of a mass outage. The issue began after a power outage in the Maytown community that impacted the water flow into the area. When the Southern Water and Sewer District workers began offsetting the impacts of that, they sent a burst of water through a new water line running from Lackey to Wayland. The pressure in the line pushed too much power into the city’s system, which manager Randy Conley said “turned Wayland into a sprinkler system.”
