Young suspect identified in vandalism of Sartell park bathroom

Police in Sartell have identified a youth suspect in the vandalism of a park bathroom.

The Sartell Police Department posted photos of a destroyed sink, toilet and toilet paper dispenser at Watab Park next to the splash pad on Tuesday.

Authorities said the amount of damage caused will result in felony-level property damage charges.

"We have a beautiful city with many amenities that we do our best to keep safe and accessible, but it takes all of us contributing to do that," the department said on Thursday.

Police thanked the community for helping share the original Facebook post and supplying tips that lead to the suspect being identified.
